Tethered Cord Syndrome

Spinal cord ( conus medularis ) below L2-L3 due to pull of the cord by filum terminalle at sacral region. Those who have tethered cord syndrome may also develop scoliotic deformity and chairi malformation. Patients with tethered cord will have symptoms as below and they will require surgery. Tethered cord syndrome is also very common with spinal dysraphism and they are syndromic patients who also have many other congenital abnormalities associated with the same.
