Split Cord Malformation
Split cord malformation (SCM) is a rare dystrophic lesion of the spinal cord. It consists of dividing the spinal cord into two symmetrical or asymmetrical hemicords, produced by the presence of an osseous or fibrocartilaginous septum in the central portion of the spinal cord creating a complete or incomplete sagittal division.
